"EM algorithm" acronym never expanded/explained #619

Both in the text (e.g. p. 360) and in the index, it only says "EM algorithm". In a book at this level it would be helpful to write out the acronym and briefly motivate the name.

It does say "The expectation maximization algorithm (EM algorithm) ..." in the text

(first paragraph of EM algorithm)
