Is this repo even being maintained? I see lots of open issues, but few commits.

Issue 1) This repo seems to be disorganized and all over the place. I had to read the whole first chapter of the book to understand that the Jupyter Notebooks were for part II, but there's also additional resources created by others for the same chapters. Additionally, there's apparently exercises for part I, but I don't see any guidance for them in the repo, so I only understood that from the book. Furthermore, the PDF's and videos seem completely out of place.

2) Finally, the video's are hard to follow, because 1) one can tell the presenter is just reading from either the screen or notes, 2) one can't tell where on the screen their attention should be, because the presenter is not drawing their attention anywhere.

Describe the solution you'd like 1) Have a clear roadmap for where the exercises, Jupyter Notebooks, PDF's, and video's fall into place and suggest an order for using them all. It is more clear after reading the first chapter that the exercises should be done after each chapter in part I and the Jupyter Notebooks should be used after each chapter in part II, but one should not be required to read the first chapter, when there is a repo available, to understand that. This information should be in the README.md. Additionally, clearly explain how and when the video's and PDF's should be used.

2) Finally, the presenter should point to the area on the screen to which the listener should be looking, when the presenter is addressing a new topic on the same slide it should be highlighted, and the presenter should vocally tell the listener to where they should draw their attention.

Thanks for your feedback. If you have links to additional resources, we are happy to link them from mml-book.com.

Unfortunately, we cannot re-record or edit the videos at this time.

At the time of writing, much of the extra material wasn't available. In a next edition of the book, things should be more clearly signposted and integrated as you suggest.

I will leave this as a feature request for the future.
