Something similar in Ubuntu (PHP 7.0.15-0ubuntu0.16.04.4):

PHP Parse error:  syntax error, unexpected 'echo' (T_ECHO) in /var/www/html-darkcorecms/index.php on line 60

That error will be fixed on the next repo along with a lot more changes

Now that pull request #23 has been merged this issue can be closed. @darksoke are you taking this project on somewhere else? Any possibility for you to do it here?
