1. If I press the shutterrelease, the shutter is released once and the app
freezes with the message "capture started", I have to close the connection and
reconect after that to take another shot.
2.
3.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
V.0.30.19 beta Sony Xperia S with CyanogenMod 10.1(Android 4.2.2)

For D3000, D3100 and D3200 there is no documentation from Nikon.
A physical device or a recorded USB communication would help to see what PTP
commands/events/properties those devices support. I don't have money and don't
plan to buy one, so if someone can borrow me such a camera I could probably add
better support, or there are some application for Linux/Windows that can record
the USB communication (like USBlyzer). So if you or anyone else can record the
USB communication between the camera and Camera Control Pro 2 (if it supports
those devices) I could analyze the data and probably add better support for
those devices.

I logged every Function of the Camera with USBlyzer and DigicamControl.
I attached the File.
Sorry if I’m doing some mistakes, I’m from Germany and still learn English.

Thx, will analyze. Can you operate live view to from the application? If yes
can you make a the same with turning live view on and off?

Can you try the attached one, I added some function that will save some info
from camera that I'm still missing.
After you connect your camera in top row you will have a 'i' (info) button.
Press it and after you get the device info displayed press the 'Save info'
button.
It will create a device_info.txt document in your DCIM folder. Please send it
to me or attach in a message.

Fabulous now I can take more than one Picture!
But Bracketing isn't working now.
The Program just stops working and closes.

Did you try using custom bracketing in M mode or in A mode?
Can you try in A mode?

Original comment by hub...@gmail.com on 31 Mar 2013 at 11:25

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
Thanks alot, it works in A mode!

Original comment by duckhorn...@googlemail.com on 31 Mar 2013 at 11:28

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
Will try to make it work in M mode to. The property for shutter speed that is
present on higher models is not present in D3100 (it gives an accurate sutter
speed value).

Original comment by hub...@gmail.com on 31 Mar 2013 at 11:31

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
Try the attached apk in M mode with custom bracketing.

Original comment by hub...@gmail.com on 31 Mar 2013 at 12:28

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
It still crashes.

Original comment by duckhorn...@googlemail.com on 31 Mar 2013 at 12:40

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
Then only a logcat would give some light on the error as I tested with D7100
and D5000 and on both working with the shutter speed property that D3100
supports.

Original comment by hub...@gmail.com on 31 Mar 2013 at 12:44

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
Btw, when do it crash? When you start the bracketing capture, or right after
you press the BKT button to enter the dialog?

Original comment by hub...@gmail.com on 31 Mar 2013 at 12:49

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
it crashs then I start capturing

what is the starting shutter speed, under/over exposure count and the EV step?

Original comment by hub...@gmail.com on 31 Mar 2013 at 12:55

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
The starting shuttersped is 1/50 sec
2 over and 2 under exposed in 1,0 Ev steps

I checked with those parameters and here it work. Can you take pictures while
in M mode with custom bracketing disabled.
Can you change the shutter speed while in M mode?

yes, every thing is working except bracketing.

Is there some settings that will enable more verbose log output as I don't see
the log messages from DslrDashboard.
Does it take the first image?
Was 'focus first' enabled in custom bracketing dialog? Can you try with enabled
and disabled to?

Original comment by hub...@gmail.com on 31 Mar 2013 at 1:53

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
No, the app crashes instantly and doesnt take any photo.
this time I tried it with focus first on and of and both crash.
I atached a file without any filters so schould find anything you need.

Ill try to get a better logcat, 4.2.2 has a tougher time with logcat apps, use
adb to get a bettrr one. Im running ics right now on my note, 4.2.2 on my
nexus. This is great news!

Might want to check out nikonhacker, they have a wickkie on there from someone
who analyzed all the info from the wu-1a wifi module.

Ok, this was more detailed log, thanks.
When you enter the custom bracketing dialog, do you see the shutter speed
values that will be used?

Original comment by hub...@gmail.com on 31 Mar 2013 at 2:10

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
Nope.
There are no values being displayed in the custom bracketing dialog.

Original comment by duckhorn...@googlemail.com on 31 Mar 2013 at 2:18

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
Added some more debuging messages.
First enter the custom bracketing dialog while in M mode.
Then enable custom bracketing and start the capture.

Original comment by hub...@gmail.com on 31 Mar 2013 at 2:19

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
Ok, if there are no values displayed then only enter the custom bracketing
dialog and send me the logcat.

Still can't see while it is not working.
I added more debug messages.
Also can you check in the shutter speed dialog in what order are the shutter
speeds (fastest at top and slowest at bottom? ).
You can try to enter the custom bracketing dialog and try to start a bracketing
in M mode.

just thought i would add, im using a d3200, everythign seems to work great for
me as well now, was having same crash issue, but still no live view.

Original comment by mike.p.g...@gmail.com on 31 Mar 2013 at 3:21

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
First send me the device_info.txt ('i' button in top row and then 'save info',
the file will be in DCIM folder).
Next if you can connect the camera to your PC and use some program that can
enter and display live view and record the USB communication.
If you can do that I can analyze the data and probably add LV for D3200

hmm, since digicam control is open source, couldnt you get all the info you
need form the source for that program? live view works great on it... i will
still grab usb info from it.

Anyway, having Nikon D3200 and ICS Galaxy S2. I can contribute with trying out
