OCR digital numbers #863

Hello,

I would like to OCR digital numbers indicated by old electronic devices.
At first, I take photos of their displays, or record video of their displays 
and extract pictures from the video stream. Then using the photos/pictures as 
the input for Tesseract, to OCR the digital numbers of the displays.

I think very many old devices indicate their realtime output by digital numbers 
on classic liquid crystal display, and so someone might have done the same 
thing - OCR those numbers. Then I would like to know whether there is anyone 
succeeded to OCR digital numbers, and whether there are some training data 
shared for this kind of purposes.
