How many loudspeakers should i take at least for wfs? #1

I have take 8 loudspeakers to test your wfs-designer, but it cannot work well. Should I take more loudspeakers?

You should be able to hear focused sources in front of the array with only 8 speakers, as long as they are spaced widely. However, it might be difficult because if I remember correctly the tapering at the speakers on the edge reduces the effective array size.
