Which device (manufacturer, type)?

Motorola Droid

Which firmware is installed?

2.33

What version of wireless tether are you using?

Tested in 2.08 and 3.0

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Start tethering
2.Stop tethering
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Application requests root access normally, gets it, and appears to begin
tethering, but the network can't be found with a wifi scanner. Trying to stop
or restart the tether in any way causes a phone crash.

Please provide any additional information below.

Just upgraded to Cyanogenmod 7 from 6, using a custom kernel. Haven't been able
to get it to work at all. I looked at the log and saw nothing out of the
ordinary on startup; I can't access it during shutdown or after the crash.

Just tried via bluetooth, this works fine in wireless tether 2.0.7.
