Laptop unable to connect to my wifi Samsung Infuse #1237

Which device (manufacturer, type)?
Samsung Infuse (Rooted) AT&T

Which firmware is installed?
Froyo 2.2.1

What version of wireless tether are you using?
3.1-Beta6

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.tapped tether icon
2.laptop will detect sigal (Excellent)
3.laptop wont connect (Wifi on laptop shows 3 computes with "yellow ! sign on 
it)

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Wont connect to wifi signal, computer says unable to connect. 

Please provide any additional information below.
Phone is rooted to work with app. running Windows 7 Ultimate.

try going to settings and changing device-profile. I'm using galaxy s then 
change setup method to netd (master). try this and see what happens
