Pretty much this is a feature request or if it exists I'd like to know how to
do it. Pretty much I'd like to attach Wifi Tether to either Locale or Tasker.
Is there a way to start an intent in wifi tether externally? If this is not a
current function I'd like to request the ability to be able to control wifi
tether outside of the app and the widget.

What version of Android are you running? Using this Tasker recipe and a little
imagination should get you your auto start tethering. And a little more
imagination and you could have it run only when the phone is plugged in and
charging.

Forgot to note, you won't see a visual indication that tether is running, but
your laptop/tablet/PC will detect the wireless network.

I'm running ICS. How can I run this app through Tasker? I didn't know that was
possible

Check the bottom of the link I posted. With the proper path you can set it
to run on any schedule in Tasker.
