Can't get wifi tether to working htc evo design 4g

Which device (manufacturer, type)?
Sprint htc evo design 4g

Which firmware is installed?

Android 2.3.4
Htc sense 3.0
Software 1.19.651.1

What version of wireless tether are you using? I tried 3.10, 2.0.8 and 2.0.7

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.the phone is rooted tried installing multiple versions of wifi tether. All 
work but I cannot get any device to connect to the phone when using the wifi 
tether.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

dude, my wife just got this phone and I figured it out for hers.  You have to 
enable routing fix.  That seems to have worked for hers anyways.  Give it a shot

WiFi tether starts but with errors.  Fails to configure softap.

Boost mobile evo design 4g is having the same issue I enabled the routing fix 
but softap still doesn't work wext works perfectly but not all of my devices 
connect to it please any help would be gratefully appreciated I can be
