tether kills wifi on samsung conquer #1367

Which device (manufacturer, type)?
samsung conquer

Which firmware is installed?
android 2.3.4 (rooted by superoneclick 2.3.1)

What version of wireless tether are you using?
wifi_tether_v3_1-beta11.apk

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. turn on phone
2. turn on android-wifi-tether (works fine by itself)
3. turn off android-wifi-tether

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
since tether is off, i expect to re-establish connection between phone and my
wireless router via "wifi connection". but it no longer works. i have to
reboot the phone to be able to use normal wifi connection

Please provide any additional information below.
while the phone is having problem with normal wifi connection, i check
"wireless and network settings", it shows "error" under wifi. could not
manually start wifi service either.

while the wifi problem exists, if i want to turn on android-wifi-tether, it
will "start with error". the log shows "loading wifi driver failed, setting
ad-hoc mode failed, setting channel failed", it does not display the
upload/download traffic meter. but my other laptop can tether through the phone
and get on the internet

**if phone is rebooted, wifi will work normally until i turn on tether for the
next time

when I tried it ... for whatever reason my phone (samsung sg2 skyrocket was put
into "Airplane" mode. I had to turn that off to get my wifi back

Try to UNcheck "Force wifi-driver reload" in app-settings.
