Change 802.11 wireless mode? #1980

Which device (manufacturer, type)?
HTC One (Sprint)

Is there any way to specify the wireless mode? Currently I see it only 
broadcasting 802.11n?

Currently on 3.3-beta2

I found one post which said that 2.05-pre-alpha2 was hard coded to just 
wireless g, but I tried that and it also just outputs n for me.

Can anyone help?
