Vista 64 bit timeout

Which device (manufacturer, type)? Samsung fascinate

Which firmware is installed? 2.1 update 1

What version of wireless tether are you using?pre10

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start tether allow su without changing any settings
2.select androidtether adhoc on vista 64 bit system
3.attempts to connect but takes too long and never connects.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

the phone will connect to xp laptops however my machine is running vista 64 bit 
and so is my wifes. neither of these are able to connect to the created ad hoc 
network. It recognizes but "takes longer than usual" them fails to connect.

1. open tethering and binarys install message appears.
2. Start tethering and Superusers permissions are requested> allow
3.select wifi network.. androidtether on vista 64 bit system Tosiba Sat
4.attempts to connect but takes too long and never connects.

It recognizes but "takes longer than usual" them fails to connect.
 Please any help would be awsome

The suggestion I was given when emailing the app creator was to update wi fi 
drivers I attempted to do this but my drivers are up to date and I still have 
the same issue.
