Which device (manufacturer, type)?
Samsung Epic 4G

Which firmware is installed?
?

What version of wireless tether are you using?
2.0.7
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open wireless tether - start
2. Locate AndroidTether in SSID list to connect to
3. Spins and does not connect

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
 Connection!

Please provide any additional information below.

The SSID appears in my list of possible connections. It allows entry of my
passcode which checks out OK. Then the connection window spins for a minute or
two then gives me message 'unable to connect'.

I had the same problem. I updated Intel WiFi drivers to the latest and it work
like a charm. There is some problem with the Ad-hoc is being recognize as a PHY
-N instead of b or g which is what ad-hoc networks use.
