I've been trying out Spike on two different Rails 3 apps with the same result: the log file is parsed without problems but most of the parameters in the main view are not set: http://screencast.com/t/wjMxjuYJ
The apps I tested with run on Rails 3.0.6 and Ruby 1.9.2. I can send you a sample log file if needed.
