ANSWER: The MN API actually does have the learning standards loaded in, they just are not "visible" to vendors due to a security configuration. You can validate this by attempting to submit a course with an identifier that does not exist in the table within the Learning Standards section - it will be rejected. In contrast, a course with a valid code can be submitted.
However, since those standards change relatively infrequently, vendors can store them in their SIS implementations via a static table. We will make this more clear in the Learning Standards section
Please remember that learning standards are only to be used for Early Education courses.
A vendor poses the following question: The course has learning standards listed with learning standard references. In order for the reference to be valid, Learning Standard records need to exist.
Will MN be populating the API with learning standards (the API currently has none in it), or are we supposed to populate the Learning Standard records somehow? If so, how?
