A vendor has identified a few questions, and the MDE Ed-Fi team wishes to share the answer with others.
Q: Should a vendor update EdFi SSEPA logic to send a record if a student has a Sped Eval Status of 4, 6, or 7?A: All records with SEES of 7 need a primary disability and setting reported, but no Service Hours.
Q: Should a vendor remove the Sped Eval Status condition altogether, and trigger a SSEPA record based on some other set of conditions?A: All records with SEES of 4, 6 or 7 need primary disability and setting. Some of the records with SEES 4 or 6 will need Service Hours, e.g., grade EC or HK, State Aid Category 27, enrollment in an online learning program, etc.
Program dates for special education program records will need to align with enrollment dates because MDE uses the special education program records for tuition billing. Tuition billing is specific to enrollment dates and ADM.
