@hoechenberger this doesn't take care of #900 yet (stale stuff can still exist) but it should take care of #901 (group-average reports don't update), feel free to review/merge. Should come back green or close to it!

@SophieHerbst feel free to try this branch and see if your group-average decoding results update when you change parameters a bit.
