I had installed cocy 0.2 and 0.4 version, everything installed ok, but WMP in my PC does not show device. In network folder and data streams setting i see this device, but WMP no... I do not know where is the problem. Other device (android) with air screen app working ok. I have installed cocy in OpenATV 6.2 mips. Thank you for reply and prossible help :)

Are you sure that WMP can be used to control a UPnP renderer? I couldn't find any hint how you can do this. And I have other UPnP renderers besides CoCy in my network which don't "show up" anywhere in WMP either. So I strongly doubt that WMP supports UPnP renderers.

I sending picture, for better idea... cocy

I think I found the same dialog on my system (I have Windows 10, though). However, my interpretation of the dialog is that you can configure which devices can access WMP as a provider of media. I can see "Media Renderer on vuultimo" in the list, which means that the UPnP renderer is allowed to access the media data provided by WMP (i.e. the media on your PC). But I can still not see any dialog that allows me to control a UPnP renderer using WMP as "GUI".

with WMP normal control my TV or "ali media render" functions (play, pause, stop, FF, FW, volume etc...) If all is ok, media player open litle window for control media streams and device... See pic. window Or how program in windows support your app? I searched your app on net (google) and some people wrote that it works with them to open media files via network streams. If I misunderstood it, I apologize...

How do you make WMP open this control window?

DJJaro18 commented 5 years ago

add media files in WMP to library and icon in first img (in blue circle) or of any media files right click and "open in device...." see picture.. pics but, this function working, if is online dlna client... Therefore it is strange that it doesn't work with your app ..

Okay, I see my cocy renderer, but when I try to play, I get a failure message.

There doesn't seem to be a log file for WMP, so I'll have to resort to network analysis with wireshark to find out anything. I don't know when I'll do this. I admit that my motivation is rather low, because the renderer works with various clients and I strongly suspect that the problem is caused by WMP interpreting some response message wrong, or maybe it requires something in the response that is specified as optional in the UPnP protocol. As WMP isn't Open Source, this will be hard or even impossible to find out.

And from another renderer can't it be detected?

If you mean comparing the network traffic between "WMP/CoCy" and "WMP/Another Rendenderer", yes, this may gives you hints. But it is a tedious task.

Okay, so maybe you'll ever succeed ... I solved it differently. Thank you for your time.
