The latest decision with this is to move the IDE drive to a drive bay. Since this has an old interface, I need to get an IDE to SATA adapter. I have since gotten the adapter from Amazon, but this came with a female to female SATA cable and I need a male SATA to female SATA connection. Once that connection is bought, I'll be able to proceed.
The solution involves linking the drive to a SATA drive bay that the person already had established.
The drive's been returned, so I can close this ticket.
I ran into this issue while trying to install 32 bit windows on an hp driver.
One good solution would be to put the drive in a newer, smaller computer and retrieve the files from there. Perhaps JR would like Linux?
