Other Animation Mods (MPM, Epic Fight): Scaling + Animations #255

Describe the bug While awaiting the development of the 1.16.5 version of the mod, I chose to play around with the September release of the mod alongside More Player Models, also for 1.12.2 as I am an avid roleplayer. I noticed that there are issues with the scaling of the player's model via MPM (height does not adjust with MPM scaling) and extra parts such as tails don't seem to line up properly as a direct result of the scaling. Certain animations such as sitting, dancing, waving, crawling, yes/no nods, hugging, etc. don't appear at all.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Install the latest version of Forge for 1.12.2
  2. Place the latest release of Mo' Bends (MoBends_1.12.2-1.1.0-28.09.21) into your MODS folder
  3. Place the most recent 1.12.2 build of More Player Models (MorePlayerModels_1.12.2-(05Dec19)) into your MODS folder
  4. Attempt to modify scaling & attempt various animations.

Expected behavior Scaling support, animation support/replacement for certain more player model actions (such as sitting; this is possible thanks to the sitting animation within boats and minecarts; hugging as well).

Context (please complete the following information):

Additional context I am doing a trial run on animation mods for the purposes of immersion improvement for a client-side roleplay-focused modpack shared amongst my community. As I'm aware the 1.16.5 version isn't given any exact estimated release date, I chose to test the released 1.12.2 version. Thank you for your time and attention.

Thank you for providing such a thorough examination 😄. I admire your dedication to the goal of compatibility between the two mods. Taking the time to make them compatible would be a hell-of-a-task on both sides, not only Mo' Bends.

If I were to make them compatible, I think I'd want to band together with Noppes and other animation mod folk, and create an animation framework that all animation mods could work off of. A daunting task, but could be worth the hassle.

I'll keep this thread open in case any new advancements come up, but for now, I just want to focus on getting Mo' Bends to 1.16.5, hope you understand 😄. I encourage anyone to append their findings right here, in terms of incompatibility.
