Just implementing the latest MobFox framework for iOS and have a number of Linker warnings being displayed.

In addition to the warnings, I have noticed that since I implemented the SDK and the AdMob Adapter last Friday we have never seen a test banner advert. I am getting interstitial test adverts, but not a single banner advert. We are using kGADAdSizeSmartBannerPortrait and this is on an iPad Air 2 running iOS 10.3.1.

I also tried kGADAdSizeBanner and kGADAdSizeLeaderboard and I receive live adverts from our other advert networks even though MobFox is at the top of the AdMob mediation list using the appropriate test hash.

As you probably know, the warning messages are still present .

I am also unable to see any test banner adverts using the AdMob Adapter. Unless they are live adverts coming through? Interstitial test adverts are working perfectly.

Hi,

This is a screen grab from the AdMob mediation website for our banner placement.

I have stepped through the adapter in the debugger and it is calling the getBannerWithSize function / method. The debugger steps through the banner creation and banner advert request.

We see a live advert, but don't know if that is MobFox or one of our other networks.

I have also tried another one of our Apps and it experiences the same problem, but I did notice that straight after the MobFox log entry there is another log entry complaining about App Transport Security.

The MobFox SDK causes the following linker error:

I used the GitHub MobFox SDK and the new adapter is working, I now have banner adverts.

I also changed my info.plist and removed the fine tune ATS setting as mentioned above and I do not get any App Transport Security messages, thank you.

Don't know what is going on with the linker error, is the framework compiled with armv7, armv7s and arm64?

The Architectures are the "Standard Architectures" - armv7 and arm64. The Valid Architectures are amrv7, armv7s and armv64. Also, we don't use IOSurface, at least not directly.

I have been looking into this IOSurface linker error. The IOSurface framework does not exist in the XCode iOS 10.3 SDK, which is why the linker is failing. While on the Apple Developer Forums I came across the following question from a developer and the response from Apple Dev.

Question: "Is it possible to get the screen shot from background mode of application using IOSurface framework in iOS 10 for both app store and enterprise applications?"

Response: "IOSurface is not public API on iOS and, as such, is not an appropriate topic of conversation for DevForums."

Something in your last SDK seems to be referencing this IOSurface framework, which is throwing a linker error. All other versions of your SDK link perfectly (Apart from the warnings).

Hi, Update to my previous post.

I thought that I would add the latest MobFox SDK to a different App that we last modified in May 2017 before uploading to the Apple App Store.

I added in the MobFox framework and the when I compiled got a similar linker error for a different framework.

As I mentioned before, this is the only MobFox SDK that is giving these problems.

It is a long shot, but is it worth trying a complete clean and a rebuild of the framework just in case something is corrupted in the version I downloaded?

I am going to delete XCode and re-install just in case...
