Hi dig65, Jeff Larson is developing a new version of Mobius (3.0) rewritten with JUCE and compatible with the new 64bit Windows and Mac systems. You can find more information here https://mobiuslooper.com/ and on the Mobius facebook group
I’m aware of that, but I’d like to use this available version now if possible. As I understand it, it will be a very long time before version 3 is ready.
So that’s why I reported this bug here, hoping that it could be fixed in the version 2.5 code base much sooner. Again, the standalone app sends clock data as it should, so it may be a relatively simple fix to get it right in plugin mode.
Nobody is working on version 2.5... so I think it's better if you try the new version and post on the forum if you need it
With version: [v2.5.1-rc.2]
When I host Mobius in Ableton, and set Default Sync Source to "Out" in the Track Setup / Synchronization section, it does not send clock information to the port that I've selected in MIDI Devices / Plugin Output Devices.
I can select that same port in MIDI Devices / Output Devices (for standalone operation), and the standalone application does send the clock to the appropriate port.
I've confirmed the lack of MIDI clock data using MidiView and watching the virtual MIDI port that I use for this purpose. It does send the clock in standalone mode, and does not send the clock when being used as a plugin.
