Website analytics

I'm looking for self-hosted web analytics that I can mainly drive from the NodeJS backend via web requests.

What I want:

• self hosted; docker is preferred but anything that doesn't require me to research something like "how to run an application in X-lang"
• not browser based; I want to be able to sanely push analytics data from the backend, and probably not the front-end (but maybe)
• simple; easy setup, easy to use

Some options I'm looking at:

• countly

  • [x] not browser based; has NodeJS SDK, which looks promising
  • [x] straight forward setup instructions, screenshots appear to be at least easy to understand
• superset

  • [ ] not simple. looks like I'd need to provide the data from some source (probably sqlite), and build the relevant queries to see analytics, and I'm not sure I want to put in that much work
• umami
  • [x] self-hosted, has docker and documentation on how to run it
  • [x] not browser based, but does include a script tag snippet if I want that
  • [x] good documentation, ui looks simple, sending backend analytics appears to be simple.

Any other things I should consider? My plan is to use this with a bunch of websites/tools that I host, but that's not necessarily important for this.

I'm going to close this for now. I've built my own custom ways to query what timers are active and run statistics.
