Couldn't sleep, so I did the next best thing, wrote some code! Hoping this one is up to par first time around :)

Looks pretty good overall. Don't let it discourage you when I've got comments. It's rare that some code can't be improved can't be improved by a second set of eyes. I expect you'll be able to find some improvements to my code if there comes a time when you're reviewing it.
