Cinnamon-weather-settings not found #35

Installed this via mint 15's in built extension downloader/installer. Applet shows in panel but I can't change setttings, just says "cinnamon-weather-settings" not found

The applet needs an update to work with Cinnamon 1.8's applet manager (Mint 15 Olivia).

Part of the reason for the malfunction is that the "cinnamon-weather-settings" file has not been marked as an executable file.

sudo chmod +x ~/.local/share/cinnamon/applets/weather@mockturtl/cinnamon-weather-settings

Then run the installer file (sh install.sh).

The Cinnamon 1.8.7 release includes a fix for this issue (linuxmint/Cinnamon#2064).

The applet's preferences tool will be replaced by the built-in cinnamon-settings -> Applets -> configure.
