Ignoring a hundred million users strikes me as a bad idea, especially since I'm
one
of them. :P

I use Firefox, Chrome, and Opera. I would like to be able to use G. Earth API in
those browsers under Ubuntu Linux, please.

Please add Opera support and meanwhile tell us exactly how we can get it to
work
unofficially

I don't see why not? What exactly is your problem with Opera? Especially since
10.50?

How to use it unofficialy:
Right click on the site -> Edit site preferences -> network -> mask as internet
explorer (mask, not identify)
http://www.opera.com/support/kb/view/843/

By the way, the plugin works also in mostly all other browsers, if Google
wouldn't redirect users. So there's a workaround, thus no need for action might
Google think? If I were Google I would do all efforts so that people have no
reason to perceive me as an evil monopolistic tyrant.

Yeah what gives google? Opera is a kickass browser, yet you seem to design
gmail and other google products to not play nice with Opera.

Opera has been around for ages, and every time another browser comes out with a
good feature, Opera had it years before. Start making your products
standards-compliant so they work with Opera. And follow the google motto
damnit! ("Don't be evil.")

@19: It's not everything lost. Getting an Internal number (1867716) is a good
sign. On the other side, already many other bugs/requests have internals.

jlivni, are you cooking something? Anyways, I can't wait to taste it!

I'd say it's because Google apparently doesn't give a shit about web standards.
If it works in Firefox and IE, good enough for them...

This is extremely good news. The best browser in the world just got a little
better!

This doesn't work correctly when using the 'Enable plug-ins only on demand'
feature in Opera
