Enable Collada files in Sky View #71

What should this feature enhancement do?

Allow Collada files to be visible in Sky view.  If they could then be 
tilted and rotated, that would be even cooler.  In 
http://gaialab.asu.edu/exoplanets, scroll to the bottom and press the cube 
button.  The Borg cube doesn't display in Sky view, but if you press 
the "Sector 001" button and then press the Cube button again, you'll see 
the cube on Earth view.

Are there any currently known workarounds that produce the same, or 
similar, result?
