Manganese 3 #212

Manganese 3 currently takes methane. This is very different to every other ore so most people skip this recipe. Uses Natural Gas by default. Possible other alternatives:

From Pez: CO, H2 or residual gas could work (syngas is used for tier 2 smelting)... i mean, if you were thinking the methane route, methanol is also fine (kind of) you could also activate the peroxide (H2O2) and use that too

between methane and methanol methane might be the preferred route - methane and naptha both have uses in science (so at the very least there needs to already be a methane export), while methanol is used only inside the oil processing for plastic/resin/rocket fuel. Additionally I think part of the reason why manganese isnt used is due to it being a sorting only ore - meaning that besides it being a by-product of chrome (and thus just something to be gotten rid of in an efficient way), its potential use would be as a part of iron production (crushed ferric sort for iron + manganese) which would be a nice option except for the fact that T3 iron is an easy 3 step process with a low charcoal + limestone requirement while T3 manganese is a complicated process that not only requires methane but also about as much sulfuric acid as copper (on a per ingot basis), which is painful enough to consider T2 copper as an alternative to T3 copper... On the topic of methane alternatives; maybe oxygen? with potentially a decrease in sulfuric acid requirement.

I want to add, that Manganese 2 is already not very good, because it consumes a lot sulfuric acid, which is better to store for Copper 3. Also Manganese1 is not exactly cheap with the additional charcoal consumption.

My take would be: Manganese1 instead of 6 charcoal, max. 1 charcoal. Or give it back as CO2 like in stage 3 Manganese2 instead of consuming 80 sulfuric acid per 24 ore, rather 10. Or give it back as Sulfur dioxide gas
