Jotunn doesn't like it... #27

I have had a ton of this problem... none have been resolved. I really want this one to work, so thought i'd ask if you know what's up. I've installed the .dll into my ...BepinEx/plugins folder in my server and also used R2Modman to install it locally. The game will load locally with the mod installed. (couldn't get the Flatscreen to show a video but the audio worked). But on the server I'm getting this...

[Warning:Jotunn.Utils.ModCompatibility] Client loaded additional mod: OdinOnDemand

And the game stops and I get an error message saying I need to uninstall OdinOnDemand for incompatibility issues. Is this incompatible with Jotunn? I need Jotunn for a few other mods, so I can't uninstall it. Is there a known issue you are aware of or a work around. I also noticed that not locally or on the server was a .cfg file made. So is that normal for your mod?

Appreciate any help I can get with this. Thanks in advance.

Hi Snayjay,

What version of Jotunn do you have installed? Please make sure you have the most up-to-date Jotunn on both sever and client. The ModCompatibility message suggests that maybe the server and client versions differ. Please make sure you have the same version and "OOD LIB" installed on both. Also, being unable to get the Flatscreen to show video means there may be even more unknown issues.

I was able to get my test server running and connected with the mod and playing video. If you still have issues, please post full server.log and player.log when encountering the problem.

Appreciate the message. Sorry for the late reply.... been offline for a few days, helping a friend at his farm (horrible internet there). The issue is it won't load on a hosted server. I'm running the latest Jotunn (2.20.1). But for some reason I'm having issues loading mods that are alot of content. Farmheim, Warfare, MagicPlugin, OdinOnDemand, ... a few smaller tweak mods as well but mostly large mods with lots of resources. Thought it was a crossplay issue but disabling crossplay didn't fix it. Don't know why they won't load. Even if I disable everything except the 1 mod and dependencies.... it still won't load.

Hey Snayjay, no worries. Could you possibly upload the server logs for me to take a look at when you have time? It might provide me some more insight. It's interesting you're having problems with multiple mods. Have you tried running the server as admin perhaps?

It's a hosted server and I'm logged in as admin when I'm uploading. Check out this video I made for another person. It's me uploading a mod. It shows exactly what I do and how it errors out. It the end I show that other mods load just fine, because he thought Jotunn wasn't loaded as well.

I appreciate the video demonstrating the issue - I see you didn't have any Bepinex OutputLog, but are you willing to download the consolelogs latest.log when OdinOnDemand.dll is in the plugins folder and upload it here for me to take a look at? I wonder if it has to do with either the server being linux based, or something to do with the hosting provider. I will quickly set up a linux server and see if I notice anything out of place.

I just finished testing a quick setup, I installed the Valheim Dedicated Server on my local Debian machine and got the necessary BepinEx, Jotunn, and OdinOnDemand added. It loaded properly and I was able to connect to the server, then was able to place a Flatscreen and play a video. So unfortunately that wasn't the issue. I was thinking maybe the support dlls might misbehave on Linux machines but it has got to be something else.

If you manage to get me a copy of the latest.log we can go from there.
