ChaosMod not activating events after vote #3

Installed ChaosMod and unreal-shimloader through r2modman I can open chaosmod with hotkeys and start votes or turn on email it counts votes in chat, reacts to commands and send emails comes in

but it doesnt react to buttons in the esc/inventory menu and doesnt start any event once an vote is over

Hi Xaenchan, I'm a little consumed with some new project right now but want to try and look into this.

You say none of the buttons work in the UI. This is odd because it's built into the blueprint functionality, and shouldn't error out or anything. When I do my testing I can verify button functionality and vote activation so not quite sure what is happening.

Do you have any other mods installed?

Do you mind providing me your UE4SS log file? (VotV\Binaries\Win64\UE4SS.log)

Thank you for the information and log file. It does seem the Lua files are starting up fine.

I think I encountered this myself actually, the commands not working - but then it stopped happening as soon as I enabled the HotReload system in UE4SS, which is odd.

Do you mind trying to enable Hot Reload in your UE4SS config?

Try this then attempt a vote to run a Chaos Command.

If you still encounter the issue can you please provide a UE4SS.log file from when the issue is happening? It will help with troubleshooting.

I'll also do some more TSing over the coming days.

Hi @Xaenchan,

I've just released a new version which hopefully should resolve this issue. For some reason, the game would sometimes not load the imported Lua files for utils or commands.

I'm praying this does not affect the Lua command modules since there are a lot of them, however, I am working on porting mostly everything over to blueprints.

I'm going to close this issue for now. Feel free to re-open if if you experience the same issue.
