This is the best in-browser editing experience there is, it would be great to have it available for editing resources. It would also be cool to have it as a file editor in the files tab.

File editing has been added in Git; Resources will come in later.

+1 for enabling CodeMirror as code editor in resources! Waiting for this feature since my switch to MODx 1 year ago...
