Downloading featured mod version is more annoying on new ui

Flow for downloading a mod's latest version on old ui:

Go to mod's page
Scroll down a lil bit to see featured versions on the left
Click on the one I want (if it's there (which it often was)), like Neoforge 1.19.2
Result: 1 click
Bonus: Looking at the version number (to see if I need to update it for example) is 0 clicks

On new website:

Go to mod's page
Click the little version tab at the top
Try to see if the version I want is in that massive list
Click the filters on the right
Click the version I want
Result: 2~3 clicks (depending on how the mod updates)
Looking at version number is 1 click

I don't have any opinion on the new versions page itself, but no longer having featured versions on the main mod page is a big extra annoyance when downloading mods, especially multiple ones.

EDIT: For added context, this was very prompted by me updating a local instance and having to manually sift through 200 mod pages to check if I was up to date (with about ~80 that weren't), so those extra clicks were really not kind.

Describe the solution you'd like

I want the featured versions directly visible on the mod's page back, so that checking the version number is back to 0 click and downloading it back to 1 click.

The versions tab isn't the replacement for the featured version section. The new big download button is. Is it's extra clicks compared to old, but you're also not searching through a big list (wish applies to the featured versions section on a lot of projects)

Oooh I did not even see that button. It's a whole 5 clicks to download through it though (Download -> Select Game Version -> the version -> the loader -> Download), that's even worse.

I liked having the latest version visible at a glance :(

Featured versions had the main feature the new design doesn't – it always displayed the newest version for every mod loader and Minecraft version. Now we have to compare the versions manually! That's a big downgrade.

Chiming in for the new UI update: now that the version/platform filters on the version page are collapsed into deploying menus, that's an extra 1~2 clicks when you need to filter the versions (when "latest one for this version" isn't visible at a glance).

Might be better when you actually need to filter for some specific versions, but the "easy" big download button is still more clicks.

I have been informed that the context in which I reported this (manually sifting through 200 mod pages to update a local instance, where the extra clicks really added up) would be relevant information.
