Please confirm the following.

[x] I have tried resolving the issue using the support portal
[x] I have ensured my Modrinth App installation is up to date

What version of the Modrinth App are you using?

0.7.1 or 0.8.9

What operating systems are you seeing the problem on?

No response

Describe the bug

Every time i run the modrinth app it tells me to update to version 0.8.9, literally everytime idk what's going on

Steps to reproduce

Expected behavior

Well i'm expecting to just update from 0.7.1 to 0.8.9 and then it's done, but everytime i close the app and re-opens it, it tells me to update

Sorry for the late response, see https://support.modrinth.com/en/articles/9838590-the-app-repeatedly-asks-to-update.

For now, to stop the app from asking you to update, just delete the older version:

Go to your Windows Apps and Features settings.
Find the older version of Modrinth App (version 0.8.2 or earlier).
Uninstall it.

You can also check that your shortcuts in the start menu and on the desktop point to the correct version of the desktop app. This will solve the issue. If you need any more help, you can always contact us through the chat on the right of the support portal.
