modrinth cant install forge 1.20.4

Describe the bug

every time i try to make an installation of forge 1.20.4 it errors and cancels it . it crashes at 83% and this happens with 1.20.3 too i have tried this on multiple devices with the same result.

Steps to reproduce

1. go to the modrinth app and create a new profile
2. select forge and select version 1.20.4 and give it a name as usual
3. press create
4. wait and see it crash

Expected behavior

i expect it to just make the profile where i can install mods into instead of crashing and deleting the profile making it impossible for me to make a modded 1.20.4/1.20.3 profile this does not happen with fabric

i tried installing curseforge and importing the instance from there but that resulted in this error. it says that 49.0.50 is invalid even though it's correct

also trying to make a 1.20.2 profile and updating that to 1.20.4 wont work either. just the same error. i've found that it tries to update it to forge 49.0.3 wich is the oldest option in curseforge so it might be outdated? idk.. so i made a new instance in curseforge this time with 49.0.3 and exported that into modrinth and... nope just gave me this error again.
