Open up firebug and check what comes back from the request. 9/10 times an endless save loop is due to a plugin or misconfiguration that doesn't properly close the save process.

It doesn't do the forever saving thing in Firefox, and I disabled all the plug-ins in Opera but it still did it.

Isn't it related to #4110?
Ray, do you have the 'click to enable plugin' set in Opera? It just came to my mind it may be related as is with login page issue #3927.

I do have "enable plug-ins" checked within the advanced->content section of the Opera settings, yes. Is that what you mean?
And also, yes, this does appear to be the same as that previous bug thread you've linked to. Apologies for not noticing/adding to that!

Not exactly. There's a checkbox under it, which allows to load plugins on demand, ie. a user has to explicitly click a plugin to run it. I'm not running Opera in English so I don't know the option's exact name.
Do you have it enabled and, if so, does disabling it solves the issue?

I didn't have that button checked, no. I checked it and the saving issue remained. Also, the main admin login page went absolutely crazy and wouldn't stop refreshing

Well, that was just a thought it might be related.

Exactly, that's what #3927 is about.
Merica created Redmine issue ID 5956
When editing a resource and clicking save, the save box comes up and just stays there forever. If I get bored and refresh, I'll see that the change has actually gone through, but the box just didn't go. Like it couldn't complete the cycle/loop or something - it should finish with the saving box and autorefresh the manager page, but it doesn't.
