support for nextgen image formats #24

Due to Lighthouse and a lot of benchmarks, that also pay attention to that (and of course the fact that compression is actually better), it would be great if resizer would support f=webp or jpeg xr and jpeg2000.

pthumb out of the box has trouble working with crops and zooms and serves unpredictable results, seeminlgy ignoring crops and force-aspect-ratio and such. Resizer however does it correctly, sadly without supporting modern formats.

Can we please include them?

Correction: pthumb does not support webp just yet. It will just pretend to do so by naming the files "filename.webp" or "filename.jpeg2000" - checking the actual images, you'll notice that they're just plain JPEG files. Don't get fooled by this like I did.

Please see: https://sepiariver.com/modx/resizer-update/

Support for newer file formats in Resizer and Reductionist is a goal, and a worthy one, I think, but it will take a not-insignificant amount of work.
