Battery stats and GPS not updating upon power on (with TX line connected) #83

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Connect MinimOSD with TX line to APM, without Radio Telemetry
2. Connect battery
3. OSD updates IMU data but no Battery stats. Battery stats updates only when 
connected to APM/Mission Planner  once.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Should show at least battery voltage as soon as MinimOSD and APM are powered. 
Should not need to connect to Mission Planner.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
2.4 pre 726

Please provide any additional information below.
OSD nearly unusable at field if I need to always have a PC with me.

Closed as we have a new version.

Ifthe problem is still present please reopen it.
