Changing the serial baudrate of the board is difficult and undocumented

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.  Attempt to change the used serial baudrate

You should be able to change to any baudrate

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Please provide any additional information below.
A change in baudrate should not require a complete recompile of the firmware 
AND gui.  As it is the #define SERIAL_SPEED in the firmware is misleading also, 
because it does nothing.
