Greetings,
I'm here for asking if you could provide a support for CentOS 7.9.2009 using an Elan-Touchpad ( ID: ELAN0100:00 04F3:0401 )
tried asking in the #centos Freenode IRC, but I think, they're not caring or just lurking
The laptop is a ASUS F751NA, with a fresh installed SSD. So I decided to go Dual Boot with Win and Linux ( CentOS 7.9.2009 with KDE-Desktop, bc I'm a RedHat ( also literally)😏)
Keyboard and Numpad are detected correctly. Also, "Function-Keys" ( like volume or screen brightness ) are working correctly
The Touchpad is detected by the kernel as a "HID v1.00 Mouse" >
I had read about this "driver", but it only did provide Support for Zenbooks/Launchpads, which I actually don't have.
( tried to run install with a few "adjustments" (see PS: ), but it wasn't working 😅, that's how i know )
Can you add a support for this Touchpad?
And if you need additional informations, feel free to ask 😉
Sincere regards, Hedrauta
PS:
The install.sh is using 'dnf' for installing requirements, which is only applicable on CentOS 8 😜
