Improve UI experience for Effects Gallery #70

Some areas need to be improved such as:

  1. Side bar needs some pixel tweaking
  2. Preview would be nicer if it was centered on the panel.
  3. Background color for the centered panel should change.

2 is semi-resolved: canvas positioning is made with window resize action, but buggy on initial load. 3 have been resolved and in the next commit
