Extension will not work with any tabs that have been forcibly killed through Chrome's built-in Task Manager. Don't know if this is a solvable issue.

I tried it and it worked for me, if it still happens can you show me the logs?

If you visit this (copy paste this in chrome): chrome://extensions/?id=midkcinmplflbiflboepnahkboeonkam

And (toggle dev button on top right

Click on service worker and see if errors appear:
