I thought about that, but I usually reuse code from my previous extension :) I was hoping one day I revisit the options page and do it autosaving, but I am more involved in new concepts. One day I will do this :p

You may want to auto-save on filter add/remove to make it idiot proof. I was a little confused when I added filter-out keywords, and nothing happened when I refreshed G+. For some reason I had assumed that adding a filter was all I had to do. Didn't notice the save options button in the bottom right until about 10 seconds later, so there's 10 seconds of my life gone for which I will send you a bill. ;-)
