What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect some output in general. i see no input at all

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I am using Windows 7 home premium 32bit and a wired xbox 360 controller with
chatpad.. I got it to install and i had to use the
winxp_i386_chatpad_control_test4.exe to get anywhere with it as the
chatpad_control_i386.exe crashes to a blue Screen without fail every time..

Now I am using the test and it installs and all that good stuff. however the
controller is working but the chat pad are totally unresponsive. the keys light
up but nothing is done with the key press on the pc .. all of the files are in
one folder on my f Drive.. not sure if it needs to be C or anything like that
due to callings but nothing in the config was changed at all.

Please provide any additional information below.

I am experiencing the issue on Vista Home Edition, 64 Bit: The utility starts,
the "people" button will toggler being lit up, but nothing happens, mouse does
not respond, key presses to not register. I have removed and reinstalled the
driver multiple times without errors.

Here is what appears in the cmd window when I run the utility:

*****
Chatpad control utility version 0.1a started.

I get this pop-up with Win 7 AMD64

I had this issue, and managed to sort it out by doing the following:

1. Unplug the controller
2. Run the appropriate uninstaller (chatpad_uninstaller_amd64)
3. Go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers and manually delete all the remnants of
the chatpad installation (i.e chatpad_filter.sys etc)
4. Open up device manager and uninstall ALL instances of the XBOX controller
from the keyboard/mouse and human interface device sections.
5. Plug the controller back in
6. Run the install file again (chatpad_installer_amd64)
7. Run the control file (chatpad_control_amd64)

1. Go to Device Manager.
2. Check HID - Make sure that there is only one instance of X-Box 360
Controller HID Keyboard for Chatpad and one instance of X-Box 360 Controller
HID Mouse for Chatpad.
3. Uninstall any multiple instances but do not select the check box 'uninstall
driver'.
4. Restart computer in Disable Driver Signature F7 Mode.
5. If there are no more multiple instances then the Player 1 light should turn
on your X-Box 360 controller and the Chatpad will work when you rung
Chatpad_control

:)))
