Initial Animation Fade In Skips Fade #725

What steps will reproduce the problem?
0. Using Google Chrome Browser
1. Browse to the SmartGWT showcase: 
http://www.smartclient.com/smartgwt/showcase/#effects_animation_fade
2. Click "Fade In"
3. The image immediately shows

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected for the image to fade in. This works after fading out and fading back 
in, but the initial fade does not work.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
SmartGWT 4.0
Windows 7
Google Chrome Browser

Same issue exists in Mozilla Firefox 23.0.1
