Using existing GDAL commands from https://github.com/mapzen/chef-metroextractor/blob/master/templates/default/coastlines.sh.erb

Input: zipped coastline shapefile (mirrored to S3 if implemented as a job per AOI, otherwise OpenStreetMapData.com Output: Zipped land/water shapefiles on S3
