This fixes issue #125

@dantran Could you review and merge? This fixes an issue introduced by PR #119

Also could we get a new release of this plugin? Current versions of rpmbuild do not work without the fix from #119 and this fix.

The NPE is solved in PR #138, so I propose to close this PR without merging.
