Having spoken to data managers (and from my experience when I have uploaded data), one source of frustration was to make sure that all source variables described in the harmonisation/mapping .csv file are also described in the source variable .csv file.
Describe the solution you'd like
Data managers first upload the harmonisation/mapping .csv file, and from this a list of required source variables is generated and populated into a source variable .csv file. Data managers can then download this file, add the descriptions for the source variables and upload it.
Describe alternatives you've considered
Data managers could also do this themselves, by searching through their mappings .csv file. However, if the cost of implementing this is not high I think it would be a welcome addition and show we care :)
