Klarna not working for Sweden with the official Mollie plugin for Woocommerce #849

Hello,

We are using Mollie to accept Klarna pay later payments, among other payment services.

Customers from the Netherlands, Germany, Austria and Finland can use this service without problems.

However, when I use Klarna pay later for Sweden, I get an error: Error processing checkout. Please try again.

Can Sweden be added to the supported countries, please? It should be supported according to the Pricing page.

We are using the offical Mollie payments plugin version 7.4.0, WordPress version 6.3.2 and WooCommerce version 8.2.1.

Hello, To enable Klarna Pay Later for Sweden in Mollie Settings, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to your Mollie Settings.
  2. Go to the "Payments" section.
  3. Locate "Mollie - Klarna Pay Later" and select it.
  4. Click on "Manage Settings."
  5. Next, go to the "Sales Countries" section.
  6. Choose "Sell to Specific Countries."
  7. In this section, you can add Sweden as a supported country.

Thank you for your suggestion, @asotela3911.

I did that. Unfortunately, it didn't solve the issue.

The mentioned working countries are all using EUR as the currency, which seems to be the only difference here I see. Could you confirm that Klarna Pay later does only work with SEK when selling to Sweden?

We made some tests with Denmark, Norway, and Sweden as billing countries and the existing Klarna payment methods worked as outlined in the docs (https://docs.mollie.com/payments/multicurrency) with DKK, NOK, & SEK currencies. It seems the error you see is a generic WooCommerce error, usually not directly related as Mollie API error. Please reach out to our Support Team via support@mollie.com.

The support team answered that only the country's local currency can be used with Klarna.
