Feature description

I suggested this to upstream, but it didn't seem like a priority for them. What I'd like to see is a quality of life improvement that allows a local, user-customizable text filter that automatically hides (just for me) any post that matches. Perhaps also making such a hidden post toggleable so I can occasionally review why it was hidden. The main impetus for this request is so I can remain in touch with my family without having to deal with manual hiding some of their inane political nonsense. I can imagine this feature could be expanded to include externally-generated block lists that folks could subscribe to, if they so choose.

So, it's been a while. Oscar, do you have any comment on such a feature? I really want to maintain communication with some of my loved ones, but having to interact with their bigoted views day after day wears on my psyche. I need a filter for my mental health. Please consider a client-side filter.
